Gonna try to take full advantage of my Marvel Unlimited membership and see if I can't run through all the X-Men books from Giant Sized 1 through Morrison's run. I'm sure I'll run out of steam at some point, but it should be fun to see how far into it I get before that point hits. I'm mostly interested in the early X-Factor stuff. And reliving some of the Generation X awesomeness. And the New Mutants.
Just finished editing the All-Star Superman podcast with @Tim! It'll be up at 8am PST tomorrow. Unless some of you would like me to schedule for earlier, I can do that, too.
If anyone is so eager to hear me on a podcast that they want to speed up the release, I'm flattered, but also, why?
Everyone should start every work day by having to listen to me share my nerdy opinions tbh. And end every work day the same way. And maybe have my voice in their ears as they fall asleep, just for good measure.
Don't think it really matters either way, but if it's not inconvenient for you, I guess might as well. Couldn't hurt.
Yesterday I finished Kill 6 Billion Demons and read Kick Ass. Kick Ass was great but Demons was confusing and not very interesting tbh
Today, inspired by the random Venom movie news last week, I read a much of classic Venom stuff by David Michelinie, Todd McFarlane, and Mark Bagley. Venom's origin, Carnage's origin, and Venom's first "solo" adventure (which still prominently features Spidey). Nice revisiting a childhood favorite as illustrated by the 90s' 2 best Spider-Man artists.
Yeah summer is going to be great, might be time to read through Snyder's run again. “Dark Days posits a mystery that traces all the way back to when I started on Batman," said Snyder in DC's press release. "I've hinted at them over the years with Easter eggs and clues. This is a mystery that literally begins at the dawn of man and spans generations of heroes and villains and ultimately leads to huge revelations about the past, present and future of the cosmology of DC. I couldn't be more excited for Dark Days. It's the prelude to the event we've been developing for years.”
I don't read floppies anymore but I'm real excited about the Clue series that's releasing as well. Summer should be great for comics regardless
About 10 issues into my X-Men read. Really digging everything so far. I would love to do something like this with Legion of Superheroes. D.C. Really needs to provide a service like this. Ugh.
I've read almost all of those. It was quite the chore haha. I could have picked up where i left off, but I wanted something that read a little better. And so far I'm not disappointed.
