I started reading the I Am Suicide arc in Batman on my lunch break. Wanted to trade wait but needed to balance out all of the Batman hate in my life rn

Tom King is really good at writing comic books

 

Ordering the entire Spurrier run from IST and gonna look for New Mutants Classic at Forbidden Planet. Excited to get into them both, especially the nine volumes from Claremont and Sienkiewicz. Thanks so much!

The most recent issue of Kill or Be Killed was painfully sad.

 

I haven't read comics in forever but I just finished Vol 1 of Green Lantern (New 52) and All New All Different Avengers Vol 2.

I really liked the first volume of Green Lantern and surprisingly didn't like the first half of ANAD Avengers. It picked back up though though

 

Just warning you once you get to the end of I am Suicide, you'll want to jump right into I am Bane. It's been great so far. I've really liked King's run. He has a very distinct view on a lot of elements of the character that come out very prominently in I am Suicide and even though I don't necessarily agree with all of his takes, they force you to look deeper into the character which I really appreciate.

I think well? Deanna said she enjoyed it, but she could just be nice, lol.

But really, recording a podcast, articulating why I love something as great as All-Star Superman, is weird, but I had a lot of fun. If you normally like her podcast, you'll like this one. I didn't diss Batman that much.

 

I'd do a podcast but I hate my voice sooooo so much.

 

I also don't actually read the books, I just look at the pictures.

It's why I love the Hawkeye issue that followed a dog so much.

 

It did go well! Episode will be out Tuesday and I'll post it in here for those who are interested.
