Gonna just launch a new podcast: "Welcome to Geekdom Outside of Batman" ...someday, I'm gonna trick myself into actually hating Batman.
All star Superman is the bestest thing ever. One episode is not enough to capture how awesome it is, unless the episode is like 30 hours long.
No, but really, I obviously like the Dork Knight. If it weren't for him, we wouldn't have the real best hero of Gotham, Batgirl, so like, for the sake of her origin, he's a'ight. Plus, Adam West is awesome, so, yeah.
Ooo maybe we can do a Batgirl pod at some point. Although I think I only own that Batgirl/Robin: Year One trade.
I mean, Batgirl: Year One is flippin' awesome. But, on principle, I can't do a second DC podcast until I've done a couple Marvel ones. Don't want anyone mistaking my allegiances. Plus, don't wanna count my chickens before they hatch. What if this podcast sucks? What if I mess up the audio? What if I black out and just say "dang you dork knight" for two hours?
Hahaha. Okay, we can do Marvel, too! I think @dadbolt can inform you that likely won't happen! Also, I will have the back up audio from Skype just in case.
The Bryan q Miller Batgirl series with Steph was one of the most comics I have read. I loved that damn series. And her big sis relationship with Damien was the best.
I haven't read any Batgirl that wasn't Babs yet, though I do really like post flashpoint Orphan and Spoiler.
I read through a good portion of the Cass Cain Batgirl. Outside of the art and the Bruce Wayne: Murderer arc, I really enjoy it.
Been loving Legion on FX. Any recommendations as to where to start to dive in to the comics for it? The show is awesome and credits Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz at the end of each episode, but I'm a complete stranger to the X-Men and have no idea where to begin.
There was an X-Men Legacy series in 2012 that I haven't read yet but have heard is pretty good that focuses on Legion, so I'd say start there. They credit Claremont and Sienkiewicz because he made his debut in their New Mutants run, which is excellent and will seemingly be the basis of the upcoming New Mutants film (particularly their initial arc, Demon Bear). So, if you just want good mutant storytelling, I definitely recommend checking that out.
