I didn't get that far yet. Next time I get some extra money though I might buy the rest of that series and finish it up.
I've said it 5000 times before but I'll say it again. I'M ALWAYS BEHIND ON COMIC BOOKS. I don't read many current runs because of it. I just read classic events that I haven't read. Currently reading: Wytches Saga Green Arrow New 52 Batman New 52 Thor Secret Wars Howard the Duck Complete Collection vol 1 All New Captain America
YES. Jason jacked the Civil War, BvS, and Star Wars emojis from Twitter. If you click "More Options," and then look at the emojis, there'll be a comics tab. The : pantherworried : one I just used is a hidden one I suggested to Jason and am SO glad exists.
Oh man, Green Arrow was the best part of JL/JLA. I'm reluctant to pick up the trades because of how bad I heard the beginning was. Not really into jumping on things late in a run. I only have two trades of Chew left. lol
Gonna try to spend more time with indie graphic novels. First gonna re-read Blankets because it's been a few years, and I want to talk about it with a ministry friend of mine who's reading it. Bought Mercury by Hope Larson, Killing and Dying by Adrian Tomine, Solanin by Inio Asano, Beauty by Hubert, Gray Horses also by Hope Larson, and American Born Chinese by Gene Luen Yang. Larson is writing the Batgirl series for Rebirth, and Yang is writing New Super-Man, so gonna read their books first so I'm familiar with their work in advance.
Trades 1-3 were BAD. But, trades 4 and 5 are written by Jeff Lemire and art by Andrea Sorrentino...and is some of the best DC I've read. It's crazy how much they turned that series around and reinvented the character. You don't even have to read trades 1-3 to get their story.
Set on pulling Batgirl, New Super-Man, and Trinity. Also interested in All-Star Batman because of the premise of being on the road with Two Face against a grab bag of all his foes. If it focuses on the rogues gallery more than Batman himself, I'm in. Gotta make some hard pull decisions going forward for sure. Haven't read it yet, but the portion that Lemire and Sorrentino did is collected in its own sexy hardcover and supposed to be a standalone arc and really, really good. So maybe just hit up that.
I've honestly never been a big DC fan. I'm more of a fan of certain creative teams than series for DC. So I'll have to see how they play out and pick up trades for what turns out to be good.
Has anyone here read all of the Avengers vs X Men series? How is it? I was able to find a source to read all of the issues. Should I be excited or is the arc lame?
