I would think, based on a few other characters that he has written, that he doesn't like SJW's. I can think of one character from The Fix who is basically the antithesis.
I'm a couple issues behind on The Fix. I wish I liked it more; maybe I'd like it more in trade-sized portions instead of issue-sized. Or, maybe playing in the Spider-Man sandbox had more of an impact in how much I loved Superior Foes than I realize? Either way, I think I'm gonna drop the series after this arc and catch up down the road. It's so ridiculous that the writer who kicked off his Sam Wilson Cap run with a pro-immigration, anti-conservativism arc is so antagonistic towards the Left. I unfollowed him on Twitter 'cause his self-righteous vitriol against Bernie support got exhausting. Dang white liberalism... lol. I haven't read any of his Cap run yet, but I'm honestly pretty interested in reading it all down the line. I feel like he's building towards a really cool fight between Sam and Hydra-Steve, perhaps in the form of a Marvel summer event. Hopefully political crap like this isn't too pervasive throughout it all.
lulz. Writing characters reacting to changing status quos can be low-hanging fruit, but this is pretty funny.
Today's purchase. My shop didn't have the new Atom Rebirth (which I need to review) so I was a bit bummed about that.
gosh dangit that ending to the new saga. wooooo Spoilers Hazel used magic!!!!!! I won't get into the other big turn but based on the ending and letters column it sounds like next issue is gonna be a doozy
Next Batman arc is called I Am Bane which makes me really happy (I wonder how long they're going to keep the I Am thing up) EDIT: Oh and Darkest Knights Batman and GL team up! I
I really enjoyed the first trade. Wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did. She's a normal person transported to the comic universe who gets by because she already knows all of the heroes and villains weaknesses from reading the books.
I was going through a bunch of old Comedy Bang Bangs and I heard Gail Simone mentioned a lot which made me happy.
If anyone plans on checking out the JLA Rebirth title, I recommend reading at least The Atom one-shot. Here's my review: Justice League of America: The Atom Rebirth #1 Review | Comic Book Blog | Talking Comics
This reminds me of a thought I've had many a time: What if a lot of these struggles of the comic book industry that people are always writing hot takes for... actually stem predominately from shops not being accessible to new readers, especially women? Obviously a lot of shops out there are good with that (the Valkyries exists in part to bring attention to those shops), but a lot of shops out there are totally unwelcoming to new readers.
i finished the Bendis Old Man Logan trade this morning. A little uneven but Andrea's art was incredible and I found the ending to be pretty moving. I might check out the other Secret War books on Marvel Unlimited eventually. now do i start Lemire's OML or check out the first Vision trade...
