I don't like "bounced back" when ANADM was filled with so many great books, lol. Unimpressive team books =/= bad line-up when so many non-team books were/are so good. I'll never stop arguing this point! Based on the January solicitation, I think that Spider-Woman is either totally or partially honest... "R.I.P.P.," specifying that it stands for "Porcupine." Which, could mean that he narrowly survives but is in no shape to be the Porcupine again. Or... Could mean he's dead. My goodness, it'll suck if he's dead. I don't want a full bait-and-switch without repercussions, but dang it, I also don't want to lose that character!
Already grabbed it. Just need to get home haha. Will post my thoughts later. Also didn't realize doom patrol 2 was out? Good thing the lcs still had some copies left. EDIT: @Henry I enjoyed it. And that Foolkiller logo is pretty cool. Was it odd for you in a good or bad way?
Got yesterdays issue of Nailbiter to read and I'm finally caught up. I was glued to the toilet reading through that 4th trade. lol
Finished The Wake. I loved it, though I do think I liked the first half a little bit more, thought that was a pitch perfect horror story. I'm thinking it's a favorite.
Just read Master of Kung Fu: Battleworld. Good stuff. If you like Marvel and martial arts action, I definitely recommend it. It's accessible to anyone, but if you're a Marvel fan, you'll get a kick out of some of the character reimaginings they put into this story.
Does anyone besides Sam Wilson Cap, Roz Solomon, and i guess Nick Fury/Unseer know that Jane Foster is Thor? Idr if Odinson ever found out.
I did not. I weirdly bought it when it came out but never actually read it...lol. Honestly forgot about it, so now I'm gonna have to dig it out tonight!
Kinda wanna go back and read alot of those Secret Wars tie-ins. Wasn't nearly as well versed in the MU then and definitely did not appreciate them enough.
Finished War of the Green Lanterns and adored it. Now onto Aftermath and then I'm going to attempt to go through New 52 with every Green Lantern story, we'll see how long that lasts. I just started Severed, not far but it's super creepy. Finally got through Burnside. It got a lot better as it went along and ended super strong. Still much prefer Simone's run. And I watched the first episode of Outcast and it felt like a shot for shot adaptation of the comic, so that's pretty cool. Oh and I started Deadly Class
I failed miserably at actually finishing The Long Halloween this week. Hoping to have time for it tonight or this weekend. I'm on the Valentine's Day issue. Really been loving it so far. And got Haunted Knight in the mail today so that may be next.
Read Vision Vol 1. It was alright, I will say that it was something completely different that I'd never seen/read before in a superhero story so there's that.
I love the two volumes of Vision as much as anything else I've read in comics. It's definitely unique, haha.
At a Con this weekend, just bought 21 trades for $4 each like a boss. Includes the rest of Bendis' All-New/Uncanny X-Men, which I'm excited to finally read.
Apparently you can by Marvel trades at random in massive bulk as a vendor/shop, which is how the vendor is able to have a $5 each/5+ for $4 each section. Due to the random nature, there's a lot of crap and inconsistent selection, but you can also really win out there. I always make a bee line to this guy's booth when I'm at a Con in Pittsburgh! Wizard World is unnecessarily expensive, and the Pittsburgh one has done poorly enough that who knows how much longer it'll exist (at least I'll still have Steel City Con if this dies), but with all the great deals I find even in smaller/weaker years, it's always a good time. Though, I really wish Pittsburgh had a Con that brought writers and artists I actively cared about. Oh well. Shouldn't complain, lol.
