Instocktrades tends to still be cheaper, if you don't already use it. I usually put them in both carts to check first. lol
Milo Manara, aka the artist who did that infamous Spider-Woman cover, gave Frank Cho, aka walking piece of "triggered"-joke-making trash, a watercolored Spider-Woman piece with a ridiculously detailed labia fully visible through her outfit. I'm not gonna post the picture here 'cause I don't want people to have to see it who don't want to, but if you follow comics Twitter, I imagine you've already seen it. Between this, Chelsea Cain leaving Twitter, and J Scott Campbell's Riri cover, it's very easy to become despondent over the state of comic books and humanity at large.
Because sometimes curiosity overpowers self-preservation? I've been there, too, lol. But, seriously, screw Cho, Manara, etc. forever. The major comic book companies should blacklist creeps like them and work at getting even more women into the industry. Ostracize this kinda crap until the average woman stops feeling nervous about just walking into the average shop.
100% agree with AA. I really did not enjoy it at all. I'm already not much of a Morrison fan to begin with but I'd say that's his worst
Devolution was such a strange book. It felt really rushed and the characters didn't feel all that fleshed out. Not my favorite Remender book, but definitely an interesting take on the world as a whole.
This surprises you? Haha. Her Secret Six book is written a lot like that all the time. It wasn't until pretty recently that she scaled it back A LOT. I'd say probably with Batgirl. Tomb Raider and Red Sonja are both a lot less gross out kinda stuff. Though Red Sonja has some pretty hilarious over-sexualization stuff.
I didn't end up finishing The Long Halloween last night, but it'll happen in the next day or two. On that note, would anyone like to record a podcast about it? It would be for my new show Welcome To Geekdom. I only really have two requirements for being a guest: a Skype handle and being able to record audio on your end (GarageBand or Audacity do the trick just fine). Trying to schedule out some episodes so I'm not scrambling for guests/topics each week. So if you don't end up on this one, definitely will be more opportunities. Still going to shoot for the ones with creators but I know those will be much more difficult to schedule haha.
Finished The Wake and didn't really think it was that great. Definitely not one of my favorite Snyder books
@Colby Searcy thought you'd be happy to know I'm so into the Green Lantern world that I started Green Lantern War and then said screw it and decided to go through the Green Lantern Corps run before I go back to war. I still don't like it nearly as much, but like I said I love the world. I'm on Sins of Star Sapphire now. Though I'll be taking a break for this new Nailbiter trade!
Oh damn, there's a big twist in Nailbiter related to the Hack/Slash crossover. Happy to see that it was important to the story.
