Sadly I only have random used copies, but I've seen the slipcase and it looks great. It's a little thing, but I like that the hardcovers come with one of those attached ribbon bookmarks (there's probably a more technical name but fuck if I know)
I tend to do paperback 'cause they're cheaper, though I sometimes find super cheap hardcovers. I do own the whole Hickman Avengers epic in hardcover, which makes me happy. Also have some omnibuses and would mind getting more.
Currently reading through Civil War and very much enjoying it. I love Ramos on Wolverine although he does seem to have a problem with long necks here, ha.
Picked up New Suicide Squad Vol 1 and Trick R Treat:Days of the Dead from the library. Excited to check them out! Read Teen Titans:Earth One Vol 2 last night it was just alright
The artwork, for sure. The one shot issues are a bit confusing. The over-sexualization can be excessive.
Marvel Announces Iceman Series But, with another mutant book coming out, how can I continue to believe conspiracy theories about Marvel suppressing the X-Men brand!?
Wow. I suppose it was a rather obvious choice considering he's their new LGBT champion. Honestly I still don't think he's the most interesting choice for a solo X-book, but I would at least hope that it's the present Iceman, and that it ends up being a good book. Also, I hope this ResurrXion initiative launches a whole bunch of unexpected X-books.
Read all of Gotham Academy Vol. 1. What an unexpectedly delightful little series. Will definitely be following the Second Semester.
Can't wait for the next Nailbiter trade to get here. Gotta order Manifest Destiny #3 as well. Trying to get all caught up on things as fast as I can.
So so great, loved everything about it. That cliffhanger in Nailbiter ugh! Gonna read through Vol 1-4 of Manifest Destiny this week.
I heard that a recent issue of All-New X-Men centered around young Iceman was really good, so I imagine a character-driven series around either Iceman with the right team could be great. I'd be most interested in a new Storm solo book. I never finished reading the last run, but I'll always champion her as a character worthy of her own book and even film. I also wonder if they'll launch a new Gambit or New Mutants series then or wait until more concrete information is known on those films.
Speaking of mutants, I finally snagged a copy of Exiles Ultimate Collection vol. 1, so this and the vol. 2 I already own will be my next reading goals after my handful of Doctor Strange trades I'm working on.
Batman, All-Star Batman, Superman, Green Arrow, Flash, and the Hellblazer. Now that I list them out it feels like a ton every week, but they all scratch a different itch.
Yeah I've kept up with almost all of the titles so far. Admittedly been reading online since the one-shots though since I definitely cannot afford to spend like $30-50 on comics each week haha. I've started to drop some as I lose interest, but still following the ones you listed plus WW, Green Lanterns, Hal Jordan & the GLC, and the other Bat family books. Looking forward to Trinity #2 this week to see if I'll keep reading that.
Totally forgot about Trinity! I loved that first issue. How are the Green Lantern books? The last time I really enjoyed them was with Geoff Johns' run during the New 52 (and Blackest Night before that).
