Do you know if any podcasts have said they won't be releasing their shows as episodes after this weekend?

 

Yes, I know there are a handful that said they were going to be "festival only" but I can't remember off the top of my head which ones. If I come across the list again (may be on the LA Podfest website), I'll quote you.

 

I recently became a fan of Everything's Coming Up Podcast and they have a good line-up for the fest. Just hoping it gets released afterwards.

 

I don't particularly remember that one being listed as "festival only" but I honestly don't remember.

If you are a fan of more than a few of the podcasts, it's totally worth the $20 to get the live stream. I typically prefer audio to video when it comes to most of these podcasts, but in the past, a lot of them have tried to add a visual component for the fest.

 

I'm honestly shocked they were still able to do it with their schedules

Paid 25 bucks for LA podfest stream last year and the episodes went up the week after. I feel like I was mislead into spending money because I thought the shows would be exclusive

 

I don't know what was advertised as exclusive or not last year, but this year, there are some podcasts that are saying they are exclusive to the festival/stream.

My Blind Brother is pretty good. I think the story was good but could have been told better but it's not a bad time. Adam Scott is such a good actor that sometimes I honestly feel like he's just a huge asshole but he's charming enough to get away with it. It's worth a watch but I would wait 6 months for it to hit Netflix rather than rent it.

 

i try not to be a snob about shit like this but Maron interviewing Kamasi is pretty annoying. Kamasi is great in it, and I don't mind that Maron isn't a head, but then he'll like make up some in depth metaphor about music that makes no sense because he doesn't actually know what he's talking about. it's fine that he doesn't know, but he acts like he does and its annoying as hell lol

I got to see him open for Joel McHale but that was way back in 2009

 

Just saw cbb live in Manchester, it was insanely funny. I was a bit worried when Lapkus dropped out but Gables more than made up for it. Well worth a listen when it drops on howl.

 

I was super disappointed to have missed this show when he brought it to Dallas about 6 months ago. Happy he's coming back, although I don't know if I'm gonna be able to go.
