I watched it yesterday as well. Didn’t laugh a ton but I enjoyed it.

 

Lovebirds isn't great, but Kumail and Issa are good in it, and anytime Showalter directs, it's worth your time. Good for a lazy Memorial Day weekend.

 

for those unaware, Sarah Silverman has taken the quarantine by streaming Call of Duty WWII on Twitch and the bits i have caught have been good content. it's very funny to think that she decided to jump into a three year old CoD game for some reason. its an interesting backdrop for her thoughts haha

 

Wife is making me watch Nannette so we can watch Douglas when it releases, so we're watching that and Patton's new special tonight

This is news to me, seemed like Nanette was well received.

 

Idk, I remember seeing a lot of articles trying to dunk on her in the last two years. Never read any of them, though.

 

because people called her the future of comedy and people were like old comedy is good enough, not really her fault haha

 

Her special Nanette got marketed as a stand up special (arguably it is, being that she is a stand up comic) but the delivery is more TED Talk/lecture and that upset folks who were expecting the typical special format. It's a really interesting piece that's worth watching, if you haven't.

 

let's also not forget that this is comedy and Hannah is both a woman and gay so yeah uphill struggle for her forever, probably
