theres no way the HH episode is any less than 50 percent making fun of the purchaser for being the kind of person that would buy a podcast on vinyl haha

  8. It appears Mulaney did a bit on SNL about how strange the order of the amendments are, with some beats that are quite similar to a bit Hampton did first. He then clarified that he was more so promoting his album than accusing Mulaney of anything, but only after mentioning that he knows someone who claims Mulaney stole a bit from them word-for-word.

Do you want me to google search if I can find some kamino aliens porn?

See if their jizz looks like Alex Mack turns into a silver blob and moves from one location to another

Edit: I forgot Mitch has a George Lucas impression

The part where they are talking about the younglings is one of my favorite podcast moments ever. Incredible

I know this is kinda subjective but when does Comedy Bang Bang get consistently funny? I’m still in the Comedy Death Ray era and while it’s enjoyable, some of the episodes are kinda dull. The one with Sarah Silverman, Hannibal Buress, and Todd Glass in particular was kind of a snooze fest.

to this day there are usually a couple of dull ones (IMO), it depends on the guests and characters. Holiday special episodes and anniversary shows are usually great. Are you listening to every episode. Scott has said for newcomers listening to year-end best ofs is a good entry point

Yeah CBB isn’t always funny. I’ve quit a bunch of episodes before.

I don't think in 2012 you could have convinced me that CBB wasn't always funny but I think my limited exposure to improv comedy and my general excitement for comedy podcasts at the time made up for all the stale moments.

I don’t always find the characters funny so if I get bored with a character I’ll quit the episode.

There are podcasts where I'll listen every single week regardless of the guest (NNF, Doughboys, Entry Level) and there are podcasts like CBB, where I'll only listen if it's a collection of guests I like.

Don't feel pressured to listen to EVERY episode in order. If you see guests you like, listen to that one, and skip the ones you're not interested in.

The early eps of CBB are definitely hit or miss but there’s obviously some gems in there. I’d rec maybe finding a person you like a lot and listening through their eps. The Andy Daly/Zouks saga is great throughout. Just about every Harris ep is worth seeking out as well.
The best ofs would suffice for a primer, and if you find a specific bit super funny, seek out that performer

Yeah, listening to every episode. I am enjoying every episode but yeah some are just absolutely hysterical and then some I barely laugh at all. But like Aerosmith, I don’t wanna miss a thing! So I’m trying not to skip around too much.

I definitely started with Farts and Procreation and then went and listened to all of the Harris Wittels episodes which were all mostly great. Also really enjoy any time James Adomian is on, and Nick Kroll. I’m just gonna keep at it I think, I work nights where I can listen to my headphones pretty much the whole time, so it’s not like I’m lacking in free time.

I tried to be a completest at first with CBB, but there are too many episodes and at some point it just became a drag so I decided to give up and just listen to the current ones each week. Now I don't even listen ever week anymore unless the guests draw my interest because there are so many other great podcasts that I give priority to.

I've pretty much stopped listening to CBB. I love Scott but ultimately my love for improv has declined because of overexposure.
