yeah i felt like a song really had to be in Demi's wheelhouse for it him to get into it whereas Miel just loves music. i really enjoy the turn to dissecting songs that she and the guest love. that said the punch ups have taken a big dip and honestly idek anymore, i know it's the namesake but the content of the ep itself is worth it alone

I liked it, but also felt that it wasn't anything new. Just kinda textbook Birbiglia, which is fine. My Girlfriend's Boyfriend is still his best imo

We watch the first 15 and last 15 minutes of a movie and try to figure out what happened in between. Supposed hilarity ensues. If that sounds interesting to you, thank you, I came up with it in the shower one morning.

Just listened to Thursday’s TFO and gotta say I don’t get Wardell as a thing outside of Twitter. Takes a Herculean effort to make a podcast with Hayes and Carl kind of boring but he did his best. It is funny that they clearly had to edit out him continuing to be too horny over Alex Daddario.

 

I actually enjoyed the episode but that was mainly because of Carl and Hayes.

 

Wardell is one of the most persistently unfunny people in this corner of comedy imo

 

Agreed, Wardell was whatever but the ep overall was good

 

I love Wardell's social media presence but I've never seen a single second of his standup, sounds like I should keep it that way lol

 

I saw Wardell live once and he wasn't bad, but the crowd he drew was terrible. Bunch of loud obnoxious drunk/likely underage heckling types.

 

I saw him do a local show in the next town over and the crowd was NOT feeling it lol. We were laughing at how uncomfortable it was. Mostly older people who may not have understood what was going on.
