I usually don’t mind going to movies alone, I know previews end 20 minutes after start time so I plan my timing of arrival. I used to go to shows alone but I have only been to two by myself in the last 8 years.

 

I actually get super bummed when I mention I'm seeing a movie and a friend decides to tag along. They probably think they're doing me a favor by seeing it with me but I very much want to go by myself.

I'm also weird and rent houses and cabins and pay way too much money to spend a few days alone.

That said, don't feel weird doing shit alone. I promise you nobody is paying as much (or any) attention to you as you think.

 

I'm probably a loser with few friends, but I also like it that way, but if I didn't go to shit alone, I'd hardly be able to see any of the things I want to see. My friends will willingly go to like 1 out of every 50 shows I want to go to.

 

I almost always go to movies alone unless it's with my dad, I have one friend that I go to some concerts with because we have similar taste in music, and I always go to comedy shows alone now. So much easier than trying to find someone that I won't have to sit and worry if they're enjoying it. When I'm dating someone some of that changes but not much.

 

CBB is so niche that i wouldn't bring anyone that isn't extremely familiar, nothing on earth worse than exposing someone to something you cherish and watching them die a slow death on the inside.
