All the better reason to go alone. You don't have to talk to anyone, you can go when you chose, leave when you chose. Do your own thing. YOU CAN DO IT!

 

For sure, just get to your seat, throw some headphones in until the show starts and have a good time

I love doing shit alone unless one of my friends is super into whatever it is. It sucks trying to drag someone to something that aren’t that into.

 

Agreed, I especially love going to comedy shows alone so I'm never concerned if the other person likes it.

I feel you. I’ve struggled with social anxiety for years but find it way easier and less stressful to go to the things I want to go to alone, for a lot of the same reasons other people are saying above. It takes doing it a couple times even if you feel weird about it before realizing that zero people in the building give a shit about you or even notice your presence and lack of company, but in a good way. Even went to a live CBB alone back in 2012 and it was great. And if you hate it you have complete control over your evening and can just up and leave and eat fast food in your car instead. Quite beautiful.

 

It’s gotten to the point where my anxiety is worse if I go WITH people hah.

 

I only get anxiety at ga shows when people talk to me haha

 

I have been conflicted all week about going to a show alone tomorrow and then CBB announced a KC stop which made me even more conflicted. This thread just gave me confidence and now I'm going to be broke for a while because of it.
