if everyone is doing it for free and "exposure" then right on, but if the host is making money and not sharing it with the people who also make the show possible, fuck that.

That’s what I meant by criticize. I’ve heard not great things about him, too. Maybe it’s unnecessary to put it in a tweet but he doesn’t owe anyone proof. Not like that subreddit would buy it anyways.

 

Aren’t there plenty of anecdotes out there that Scott can be an asshole though? Not that reddit cares to believe anything that doesn’t match their ideal perceptions.

 

The only asshole Scott anecdotes I’ve heard are bits on other podcasts

Anyways the sub’s position when this has come up in the past is that guests should be paid, so I don’t think that’s what they’re mad about

When I looked at the thread the top comments were about how terrible his original article was when it was literally just saying there’s no excuse to not pay guests and that Aukerman’s tweets on it were bad, which there isn’t and they were.

He linked to the article on Twitter as his “proof” that Scott is a notorious asshole so that’s mostly the grounds they’re attacking his article on. Seems like they’re in agreement with the sentiment of the article but they just don’t like the guy who wrote it.
