that was disturbing to read. such a premeditated, pathological kind of abuse, like the relationship was founded out of his desire to find someone that would let him treat them that way.

I saw him last May so maybe the same set, he's always good

 

Diving back into Podcast the Ride. Love these guys and Gairdner is a genius. He made the Tiny Fuppets, which I had no idea about until yesterday.

 

Saw him in April. He was fantastic. And I didn't care much for his last Netflix stand-up.

 

Seeing Jeselnik for the 4th time in a few weeks. Pretty excited.

 

Adomian's Jesse Venture impression could be my favorite podcast character of all time.

 

i didn't love Jeselnik but it's kinda on me i think, i have maintained this hope that he'll ditch the baby/abortion/etc jokes because his whit is so razor sharp i think he could be all-time good if he went for a broader spectrum of targets. but he sells like this so i can't really blame him for not changing.

the "that joke was hilarious" schtick after every other joke is rreeall old, though

 

Yeah, I am not a fan of comedian's congratulating themselves immediately after a joke. Pete Holmes also does it. I get it - it's just not funny to me personally.

 

I think Todd Barry gets away with the whole "look at how hilarious and famous I am" bit though

 

i strangely don't identify him with this trope but maybe i'm just blind to it

it really did feel like every second joke the other night, though. didn't help that i thought the jokes were pretty bad

 

stuff like 10 minutes on dropping babies is so Dane Cook it hurts
