Haven't watched but yeah if it's the material from his last tour it's really strong.

Also really enjoying HBO 2 Dope Queens. Great Aparna set in the second ep

 

New Chris Rock was good. Directed by Bo Burnham. Neal Brennan was one of the producers, too.

Edit: I had a feeling someone had already mentioned Bo.

I saw Chris Rock live last April in Cleveland and thought he was hilarious. Much better than his 2008 HBO special (which I also saw live). I watched Tamborine last night, and even though it was the same material, I didn't enjoy it as much for whatever reason. Maybe because it wasn't new to me? Not that I expected different material, but I just didn't find it as funny as I did a year ago.

I'd say about 30-40 minutes were cut from his set (which is typical). I remember him going into detail about the 3 women he slept with and also went on longer about dating now, which was some really funny stuff.

 

Joke would be funnier coming from a more talented guy

 

I love Jeselnik though. I completely get why he's not for everyone, but still talented .

Both are great. Jeselnik and Bo are obviously friends and the tweet was obviously a joke. Why are we talking about this?

I was severely disappointed with the new Chris Rock special. Tone was all over the place and not what I would expect from a legend like him. Just a mediocre performance overall. I thought maybe i just wasn’t in the mood, but based off the audiences faces, I felt better that I was not alone.

 

Watch the new Segura and Chris Rock Netflix specials today. Found both hilarious.

 

Rockstar is a fucking great movie and doesn’t deserve the savaging it took on How Did This Get Made
