Fred Armisan's special was very not good, at least the 20 minutes I sat through.

Put on Apatow's instead and fucking loved it.

 

Glad you were able to save yourself. I promise it, doesn’t get any better.

 

I like the Armisan one a lot. It was weird but I laughed out loud a few times.

 

Armisan special was solid performance art, not traditional comedy (except for a bit in the middle)

 

Armisen’s special is tailored toward musicians. As a musician I thought it was great but could see how comedy fans wouldn’t be into it.

The problem I had with Armisan's special was that it all seemed like corny observational stuff that just wasn't funny. There wasn't much setup, it was just, "hey! listen to this! funny right?!" None of it worked for me at all. And the accent bit was AWFUL. My roommate says, "If he does the whole country, we are leaving."

 

I saw him live once and had to leave halfway through. I felt bad, but I just couldn't do it. In his defense, he was covering for a much bigger comedian who canceled last minute.

 

i don't like Fred Armisen because he got away with a lot by being ousted just prior to people starting to give a fuck

I haven't seen his special yet, and I won't defend Armisen as a person, but Portlandia is hilarious.

Honestly I used to like Portlandia a lot but over the last couple years I have grown to find it not funny at all

 

I dunno. I've found the last few seasons to be really good.

 

Yeah I love Carrie Brownstein, and it's probably my own tastes (and thoughts on Armisen) that have changed rather than the show itself, but the bits on Portlandia got really grating really quick

 

Adomian is absolutely incredible on CBB today!

 

i'm glad Adomnian and Scott worked out the whole "guests should be paid" thing, unless that was a bit that totally fooled me. got awkward for a bit there.

but thank goodness, because Ventura in the plug bag was one of my favorite moments of the entire year.
