I think my first comedy podcast (I used to download old radio plays to fall asleep, which were technically listed as podcasts at the time) was Comedy Bang Bang (then Comedy Death Ray Radio). I didn't know the show at the time but I saw Tom Lennon was listed so I assumed he'd be interviewed or something and was super confused who the fuck this Lil' Gary dude was and wondering when they'd finally get to Tom

 

I've been listening to a music podcast called Coverville since like 2006, I think i may have heard an ep or two of CBB beforehand but The Fogelnest Files premiere in 2012 might have been my first comedy podcast

 

Mark Hoppus’ first podcast was the first I ever listened to in 05 or 06 or whatever. Then I listened to Kevin Smith’s podcast in like 07 or 08. Then CBB baby and I never looked back

 

The Lake Placid ep of HDTGM? with PFT was my first. I was late to the game, but it was a great way to start.

 

Back in 2009/2010. Then I think I started listening to podcasts again in 2013, with WDW Radio which is just something very specific to me lol

 

Finally watched the new Tom Segura special last night. It was great, although I expected no less from him. He's had three pretty much perfect specials in a row at this point, quite the streak.

 

I think it was his best. Better formulated stories and more punchlines and callbacks.

 

It was probably his technically best, for sure. He's one of my favorite standups though so it's really hard to choose.

 

This week’s Off Book was phenomenal.

 

The Dragon Ball Z song was great, love a good doubling down against everyone else in the room

I'm skipped a bunch of episodes still so I can't make a power ranking

 

Wound up seeing Chris Porter last night since it was a free show. He was alright, I guess... I remember enjoyed "Ugly and Angry" but I haven't really followed him since.

I do not regret watching the new Tom Segura at 1AM. He is one of my favorite voices in comedy right now.

I fucking love this idea

 

Will definitely be going to see Jeselnik. Also, I am 100% on board for 15 minutes stand up sets on Netflix. Exposes us to more comedians... Besides only a certain number of comics can really pull off a full hour.

 

Also shout out to Ian Karmell for being one of the comics on that 15 minute list.
