I just watched Romesh Ranganathan's first stand up special 'Irrational'. I have not really seen much of his stuff until now but it was a really great hour special. I would highly recommend.

It is on the UK BBC iplayer, so assuming you can find a perhaps dodgy stream if you are outside the country.

Does anyone know how his show at the Greek went? He was great on NNF

 

Is this the one where he booked like a 5k venue in America? I would be interested to see how it went too, Chortle had said he had only sold 200 tix 1 week before the show. He was only doing maybe 500 cap shows here a year ago, so seemed a bit ambitious, but i think it was part of a tv show?

 

Not a fan of the second chappelle special. The first one had a few problematic bits but overall was funny. The second one was very problematic and got half a laugh out of me.

Love Romesh, saw him live in a church in my hometown and it was great.

New Chappelle was funny but definitely problematic. Never seen anything of his before these last few specials this year and last. Good but definitely not the comedy god Americans online built him up to be. He's funny but there's a fair few problematic things there, from the trans jokes (which admittedly still got a little giggle from me at times, but most of it made me feel a bit uncomfortable).

The most interesting part was him hinting that the sex scandals we've had so far is fairly mild compared to what actually goes on.

Off Book with Gabrus was so good

 

I don't think I've watched Stella since it originally aired but I'm watching it now and goddamn it is so good

 

I've championed Raised By TV from the start but their live episodes are off-the-charts better. Both live-reads of sitcom scripts had me dying.

 

Watching those episodes back when they aired was such a formative experience for me in terms of my sense of humor development. Bought them on DVD years ago and run through them all periodically. They're never not amazing.

Caught up with DYKWJSI (that guys little mnemonic device really does work), Christmas episode kinda sucked in terms of calls but Oregon and Episode 8 are so good. What is the release schedule for this?

 

It's basically whenever they remember/have time to post an episode. Usually every 10 days or so.

 

Was listening to Spontaneation with the Off Book folks while playing Mario Odyssey.

The episode ending with a Super Mario song was such a nice coincidence.

I watched a JRE podcast with Steve-o last night. I believe it was recorded in August. It was positive enough that I’m still thinking about it today.
