I listened to HH and Raised by TV back to back this morning and had a wonderful time.

 

need to listen to Raised by TV. the criticisms i've seen seem valid but it's still Gabrus & Lapkus. halfway through the Doughboys Doubles rn

 

Yeah, Raised by TV isn't a perfect podcast or anything (it really is just an hour of "hey remember this thing from the 90s?" "yeah and that reminds me of this thing") but I could listen to the two of them talk about anything. I have faith they'll tighten up the show as it goes on and once they presumably start to get some guests on.

 

I feel this is a rare instance of a podcast that PFT wouldn't fit like a glove on lol

 

and yet there is still a 99% chance he will guest at some point

 

I'm sure Raised by TV will get better as it goes on. The "special moment" segment was fun. Also, Auckerman and someone else I can't remember right now, were already announced as upcoming guests.

Goof Troop. the SNES game was huge in shaping my tastes, was a multiplayer Zelda about a decade before multiplayer Zelda existed

 

I played so much of this with my sister.

 

now that it's fresh on my mind, may have to dust it off and force my roommate to play tonight

 

There's an episode of Parental control where it's like clearly fake scripted like usual, and then after getting dumped the shitty boyfriend proposes, gets turned down, and storms out in a way where it seems like no one saw it coming, and the girl is crying and it just ends.

And that's the one episode of television I want to find, rewatch, and talk about for hours, but I think it's 2000's so I can't even tweet them about it

 

Nvm just tweeted them anyway, it's so impossible to find tho

 

It's just nice hearing Lauren out of character, like she does amazing character work but she's so lovable you get it

So I praised Apple Podcasts in the past but recently got a new phone and can't believe how badly they fucked up such a simple app.

What's the go to podcast app? I just want something simple. As close to Apple Podcasts pre-iOS 11

 

I use Pocket Casts. It's simple and easy. I hear that people like Overcast as well

 

No idea what an Adomian stand up set is like but I'm about to find out. Wouldn't hate if it was just GORKA the whole time.
