I think he's being real careful and selective when choosing roles

He went to rehab I believe, but I don't know when the WTF episode I listened to where he said that came out.

I didn't even know that but when I looked it up, his rehab stint was in 2013

I watched Kinane's special tonight and I found it started off slow but the second half was very funny

Wanderlust is another recent comedy that doesn't get talked about as much as it should. It's not Wain's best film, but I love most everything he does.

it's amazing that Theroux and Aniston almost definitely met on that movie and becoming a couple considering his character

Coincidentally, he's in a romantic/sci-fi movie that comes out today on Netflix called "The Discovery."

Wanderlust is fucking hilarious, such an underrated movie

And yeah I've really missed Segel. He's always been one of my favorites in the Apatow group but he seems like a really private guy. I really hope he takes another comedy role sometime soon

Just thought of a few more comedies from the last few years that aren't talked about a ton.

    Four Lions
What We Do In The Shadows
    Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil

The Night Before hasn't been mentioned but that ended up being so much better than I thought it would be. A new holiday classic for me.

Dave Chappelle's specials were both so good, I was really happy with them both. I guess if some people were offended, Tosh and Jeselnik would probably be way too much to handle right?

Bahaha what a reaction. Is that a thing that happens often? The point was that Chappelle is super tame, but I know you got that :-)

Even more so, stop comparing any respectable comic to Tosh.

We just had a lengthy discussion about all three comics around the time Chappelle's new specials were released. I think we came to the conclusion that while Jeselnik may be "offensive" he never says anything homophobic/transphobic or hateful. Dave (and Tosh) on the other hand...

Jeselnik is also playing a character, more or less. Every comedian has a persona, obviously, but they have wildly different styles, and any comparison of the two is virtually pointless. Simply observing that Jeselnik is (arguably) more offensive doesn't absolve Dave for a shitty bit, nor is it particularly relevant

What We Do In The Shadows is really, really good. I had been meaning to watch it for a year or two now and finally did a couple months ago, loved it. There's been talk of sequels/spinoffs of all sorts too that I'm now desperate for, the world built in that movie is really fun and has a ton of potential.

Hey now, don't hate on a great comic!

Oh man I dunno how I missed all that, my bad. Probably looked like I was dragging it back up lol. All 3 are among my top 10 though
