Watched the second Chappelle special and didn't think it was any better than the first. I'm kinda disappointed. Not because they were offensive, but because they weren't that funny.

Also, Tosh is the absolute worst. I enjoyed his first album when it came out, but his show is basically just alt-right hate "comedy" without any sense of irony or satire.

Jeselnik and Chappelle may say offensive things from time to time, but NOTHING CLOSE to Tosh.0 - I'm honestly surprised that more people aren't upset about that show. It makes Million Dollar whatever look PC.

 

Tosh is very, very bad, but funny as hell. Have you seen his special from 2016? That one takes the cake.

 

I think I did see it, and honestly thought it was better than I expected, but Tosh.0 in particular is just in bad taste. I'm all for dark, politically incorrect humor when done correctly, but Tosh.0 is not that. I watched an episode about a month ago because they were talking about how bad it was on a podcast I listen to and they were 100% right. It's racist, homophobic, misogynistic, etc... and not funny.

I urge people in this thread that haven't followed Tosh recently to watch an episode and see for themselves. I'm honestly surprised more liberal thinking people aren't up in arms about that show.

 

I haven't watched Tosh.0 since like 2014, and I'm amazed it's still on. Remember Jesselnik's show? Just as bad (when I say bad I mean offensive).

The only think I appreciate with Tosh is that he completely nails the "douche bag upper-middle to upper class white guy" persona.

 

Yeah, Chappelle is still an excellent performer from a technical perspective -- a lot of individual bits during the new specials had me rolling -- but ultimately, there was enough unnecessary material presented in poor taste (specifically the LGBTQ bits) that I'm not sure how often/if ever I'll return to them

 

I disagree. Jeselnik's show was offensive, hence the title, but the jokes/premises were well written, there was a sense of irony, and it was just plain funny. Tosh's show on the other hand is nothing more than showing YouTube clips of black kids acting dumb and then making a "joke" about how the kid looks like a monkey or something. It's literally that bad.

 

I honestly didn't know that Tosh was still going until now

 

Tosh.O is completely unwatchable. it's shocking to me that it's still on the air, when plenty of superior shows have fallen by the wayside since it started

I can't really watch Tosh.0 anymore but I like his stand up. The show seems to pander to his younger demographic.
