Yeah I've listened to a couple episodes and enjoyed it

Just bought tickets to see Nick Thune in May. I'm excited to finally check him off my list of acts I've gotten to see.

 

Am I the only one that watches the same specials 10-15+ times when they come out? That's usually how I know it's good.

 

When a comedian I really like is releasing a new special I usually go through all of their past ones (at least the ones that are easily available)

 

Dave Chappelle Explains Why 'Key & Peele' Hurts His Feelings

 

I'm so excited he finally announced a show in my town. I've been waiting for him to come here forever.

 

I'm not exactly sure what he wants from them. Just because you laid the groundwork for something to exist, doesn't mean you had a hand in its success. Did he actually want a credit? Does he think Keegan and Jordan are ungrateful?

 

Chappelle set the bar high. Key and Peele stood on top of it and set another.

 

I mean there are some great key and peele sketches, but chappelles show was better and more consistent, and had a huge cultural impact.

 

He's acting like people, Key and Peele included, are denying the influence, which is not the case. I also think it's debatable whether Chappelle Show is actually better, bigger cultural impact for sure, better comedy I'm not 100% sure.

 

Well also they're pretty different stylistically

 

Key and Peele is one of the most consistent sketch shows in recent memory.

 

Came to post this as well! Holy shit! One of the most underrated one-season wonders of all time.

 

Same here! I just saw Emily Heller is featuring on this tour too!

 

I prefer Chappelle's Show to K&P, but they're both enjoyable.

 

Goddamnit I wish there was more MBMBAM tv. I've watched the first season 3 times now.

 

Chapelle is probably right that there wouldn't be K&P (at least as we know it) without him, but I don't know what he wants. Did they need to end every episode with a dedication to him so his feelings aren't hurt? He already received critical acclaim for his show, it's not like he was slighted just because some networks 10+ years ago had different notes than they would today

Yeah I enjoy Key and Peele but Chappelle's show is better in almost every way.
