I’m bummed to miss him again but I don’t really have the cash for it right now anyway You see the Sloppy Boys are coming back to Bottlerocket in July? Excited for that
I've shared a few of our past short films/sketches in the thread, but if anyone is based in LA, my group Nice Hog! has our next short film BREAKFAST AT BERGHAIN making its world premiere at Dances With Films: BREAKFAST AT BERGHAIN | DANCES WITH FILMS If you like adult swim / midnight movies, this one's for you.
So many comedians are in this series. I will definitely be watching when it comes out, They had me at Carmen Christopher & Patti Harrison
Eric Andre’s standup stage persona is closer to the ‘actor playing a comedy character’ end of the stand up spectrum. He seems pretty normal/serious in real life and turns it on big time for the camera. He quit that stupid prank reality show he did with Johnny Knoxville because Knoxville is real deal stupid/nuts and messed with Andre when the cameras were not officially rolling and Andre had to be convinced to come back and resume the job.
I think I fell off Patton's stand-up after Annihilation, which I adored, but I do like Patton, so somebody let me know if I should check out this one (or the last one for that matter)
I like Patton but he's like David Cross for me where it seemed like he just started phoning it in for stand up specials.
Yeah, the last Cross special I watched was good but not great. I tend to like him a little more than Patton personally, but def agree with the comparison.
Patton has definitely gotten less cynical with age which I like, I always like his stuff and good lord Tony has the charisma of a scarecrow
