Holy shit - what an off-putting performance. Barely a joke or a shred of an observation in anything he's saying in the first half of his set and it somehow gets worse when he takes his anger out on the crowd. Truly pathetic on all fronts. Kill Tony is bad for a number of reasons, one of them being people thinking it’s some kind of comedy incubator when it’s more like a bunch of edgelord comedians dunking on mentally ill people.
Most recent season of Taskmaster was so good, wasn't familiar with any of the contestants and I loved them all
I never really watched Howard Stern so I can’t fully appreciate the analogy but I saw a YouTube comment that said Kill Tony is like if Howard Stern acted like all the weirdo side characters on his show were legitimate comedians he had discovered and who should be going out independently and headlining shows instead of recognizing them as characters that only make sense and provide humor under the specific context of the show.
I haven’t finished the series yet but it’s so good. I need to just buckle down and run through the whole series.
