I saw him at Largo last month and I thought his set was great! I loosely follow him so I can’t really compare to previous stuff off the top of my head but I’m looking forward to whatever he does next.

 

I want to like After Midnight, but I made it 10 minutes into the first episode and then skipped to episode 2. PFT and Carl are slightly better, and maybe given a little more time to find it's footing it'll improve, but this is pretty rough

 

Ehhh...live shows take time to get a rhythm, especially with an almost completely green host.

 

Yeah, I get that. I think Taylor's a pretty decent host and I see potential in the show but it feels kind of cheap or dated or something. Hopefully, in time I'll eat my words. Still happy to see (alternative/non-mainstream) comics on broadcast TV daily.

 

It’s definitely dated in a very CBS way. The main problem I have is the forced laughter. There’s already an audience that’s laughing, we don’t need more on top of that.

At the very least, it’s an upgrade from Hardwick as host and no more Corden.

 

Never heard of Dusty Slay but his new special on Netflix is a downright snoozefest.

Gave the Jacqueline Novak special a shot. I admire her energy and ability to talk about sex in a pretty inventive way. But I got about 20 minutes in before I decides this was not for me.

 

Never heard of her before but was going to give it a shot based on John Early's recommendation

 

By all means do it. Highly likely it will be up other peoples’ alley.

 

Just got tickets To see Adam Pally (at bottlerocket). It seems like he’s been touring doing music and comedy, very curious

He’s covering the entirety of Nirvana though

Going to Kate Berlant's one-woman show tonight in Pasadena. From what I've seen on other comedian's Instagrams I should be a blast.
