Somewhat unrelated but I wonder what would happen to pop culture discourse if a comedy series started out as a vanilla sitcom and after gaining a massive audience over a few seasons became more surreal and Lynchian and ultimately reached a Todd Solondz film-esque climax over the last ten episodes?

  7. Speaking of Todd Solandz, I've never seen Happiness and was looking for a place to watch it today. It doesn't seem to be available (even for rent or purchase) anywhere.

One of the few films that left a bad after taste in my head… like it successfully made me uncomfortable

Kind of the opposite happened with “Til Death.” According to the AV Club:

I hadn’t seen the last season, but I feel like Community evolved to be a bit surreal over time.

the debate on Blocked Party today as to if there are more doors or wheels in the world was great. I say it's gotta be wheels

Didn't listen but immediately intrigued because most cars cancel out.

Today's CBB is very good. Gemberling is always delightful, especially with how Scott always needles him.

there are plenty of cars that only have two doors, I don't know of many cars that have less than 4 wheels. Wheels wins easily

Unless we're counting motorcycles, then fuck if i know

Yeah but like cabinets and closets and most rooms have doors, fridges, microwaves, hotels and trains (without wheels) gotta beef up the numbers a lot. But with how often you have to replace wheels just on cars, not counting toys or like suitcases or whatever, wheels have to have an advantage.

Oh yeah, I was thinking purely in transportation. Doors gotta win

Fridges usually have more wheels than doors.
