Weird, I found myself watching a bunch of sketches last night on YouTube

 

i can’t tell if this comment is sarcastic but if it’s sincere, doesn’t being a black person count as being part of a marginalized group? The redeeming quality of his material in The Closer is that he brings the perspective of race to it. For ex, when he jokes about Da Baby being able to kill another black person without it affecting his career vs. what happened to his career after he said (reprehensible) comments against gay people.

 

that joke in quotes though isn’t what I would call clever. I agree that stuff in that vein is what shouldn’t be said. It’s lazy & hurtful. What I’m advocating for is material that is covering things at a macro level. Like when he compares the progress of the “movements” of LGBTQ vs black people. That’s interesting & funny to me in a way that doesn’t seem insulting.

I couldn't make sense of it. I'm thinking to myself, this girl got her start from Tony Hinchcliff and Rogen, the antithesis of St Vincent, yet here we are. Her set was all the shit she was doing on Kill Tony five years ago. Just dick and poop jokes, albeit, geared toward a gayer crowd. Just not a great look all around.

 

Weird. Maybe the pushback she got for the Daddy's Home interview shit made her go full cancel culture

I never watched Champaign Ill but with Adam and Sam in it, I should probably change that.

 

Definitely thought that Brad Neely’s show was Champagne and not China, Il so I couldn’t figure out why they would name their show basically the same title as a cartoon lol

Holy shit, this is unreal. I saw this pop up on Facebook in the last few days but now just watched this. I had no idea it was based on the day Robin learned of John Belushi’s death. I recently watched the Come Inside My Mind doc and while I thought I previously saw it, I didn’t remember that Robin saw John the night he died, but Pam Dawber gave a real emotional interview recounting that day she told Robin.

 

Just randomly went and saw Iliza tonight in Vienna (literally found out 2 days ago she was coming) and she was fantastic. Way better than her past few specials.

Watched Daniel Sloss' X special last night and was not expecting that at all.
