Just starting 30 Rock for the first time, episode 1 - the funny is coming thick and fast. Hope it keeps up

 

It gets even better

 

30 Rock is a joke machine. It never lets up. You have to cut yourself off from laughing at one joke so you don't miss the next one. It's maybe the most joke-dense show of all time.

 

Love Jenny but that's a bit from an entirely different era of the internet and it seems a decade late.

It will probably still do well with middle aged facebook users but it gives me the same vibe as if someone was making a LOLcats or Gangnam Style movie.

 

I love Marcel, but I feel like some quick videos work much better than a feature-length film. Hope it does well and maybe is a surprise hit.

 

Incredible bonus Blocked Party episode today with Stefan’s parents. They’re always so much fun!

I wish it were anybody but Rob Lowe. Either way, I'm burned out on retrospective podcasts about shows that haven't been gone that long.

 

There are like 50 episodes of this show that Rob Lowe isn’t in at all so wild that he’s leading the charge on a podcast

 

any Taskmaster fans? I just saw Jamali Maddix live. He ruled.

 

Hell yeah, I don't watch Taskmaster but I know him from Hate Thy Neighbor

 

Hate Thy Neighbor was fantastic too. That was my introduction to him. Then Taskmaster.

I've fallen in love with the New Zealand Taskmaster, season 2 has been incredible and ends next week

 

So I’m watching the first Anchorman on Comedy Central right now and I’ve seen it a dozen times but in the middle of it during a news broadcast they show the news program’s credits on a monitor and under writers of the show they list Adam Scott and Jon Hamm. This is years before they rose to prominence in the comedy world.

 

Does the movie hold up at all?

Anchorman was my entire sense of humor for probably two years haha

 

I think so. I mean, even at the time when I first saw it in theaters it satirized misogyny.
