I hope these songs will be on Spotify they're catchy as hell

 

One of the many things I've taken from the new Bo special, which is incredible and had me just staring in awe for the last 20 minutes or so, is that I'd listen to Bo just do music straight up. His songwriting and musicianship has gotten even better since 'what.'

 

So the special is amazing but also a real day ruiner. I'm having really terrible anxiety today so that could be part of it, but I don't think it's a fun or easy watch (and I'm sure it's not supposed to be). Parts of it are super concerning and unfortunately the suicidal stuff was kind of triggering (obviously not his intent or fault). "That Funny Feeling" is like a Father John Misty song, but bleaker. Idk. Loved it, but also don't think I can revisit it the way I can What or Make Happy.

 

Can’t even put into words how much I enjoyed that. that Funny Feeling song is one of the best songs I’ve ever heard... musically, this stuff is insane. I laughed a few times, cried a bit, and had a big smile on my face through the rest.

 

Yeah really great stuff, very emotional and musically a huge upgrade.

 

Inside absolutely ruled. Obviously the craft of the whole thing is impressive but I can’t stop thinking about how much effort must’ve gone into the White Woman’s Instagram song.

Youtube playlist of the whole album. It's a pretty good rip, I just used Youtube to MP3 (something I normally never do) to get them for now and it sounds good enough, hopefully I can replace that with an officially released version though

 

So I had never watched a Bo special. And I didn’t want to go in blind to the new one. So I watched What, Make Happy and then Inside.

thought the last were very well done. Didn’t care for What. But nice to see how he has progressed and matured like that. Inside is definitely his strongest work.

I’m surprised by all the good I’m seeing about it but also surprised at how little other comedians are talking about it. Is it one of those things where since he does recording songs that other comedians write it off or what?

 

I don’t typically enjoy musical comedy and may have watched some of his stuff here and there but it never really resonated as much as this special did. It must be cool to be that musically talented and funny.

I'm lucky I grabbed it then, I actually listened to it just as an album for the first time today and it works really well!
