Been going through Bo's stuff again like I said a few days ago. What is literally a masterpiece, and Zach Stone is the most underrated show of all time

Agreed on both counts but I found a lot of Words Words Words has aged poorly. But he was like 18 so, yeah, of course.

Going to my first (outdoor) concert in 15 months on Saturday. Can't wait for that, and then to come home at 1am and put on the new Bo.

Also, I think "what." might be the best special of the 21st century and possibly my personal favorite special ever.

Also this long cut of their best bit from the TGS makes me laugh so hard... a caller calling in but can't hear Todd's or Rory's voices. Just whoever else is in the room.

Ranger Steve from Comedy Bang Bang still one of the best characters. I think of "Dave, dan, or whateverthefuck his name is" often and have quite a good laugh to myself.

Holy fucking shit... I didn't think he could top what., especially with no audience, but Inside might be Bo's masterpiece. Just every single minute of it fucking captivating, such an intense perspective on isolation and mental health while still retaining his signature ironic humor and making me laugh out loud through the whole thing.

If he really did this whole thing (the lights, set design, cinematography, etc.) by himself then he's even more absurdly talented than I already thought he was. This thing was absolutely gorgeous to look at, and Bo himself was an amazing screen presence, more than he's shown in the past. This will sound dumb because he's the sole focus of the whole thing but I couldn't take my eyes off him for the entire 87 minutes.

Musically, the part I was looking forward to the most, this is his best work too. Effortlessly goes between genres, again while retaining his signature style, and builds on his previously growing ability to meld humor and biting commentary even more. Favorites off the top of my head were the opening track (Heal the World), Welcome to the Internet (maybe one of his best songs ever), Turning 30, the "Put Your Fucking Hands Up" one with the vocal effects, and the final song. I really fucking hope he releases an album of this and doesn't make me find a ripped version of the special like I had to for Make Happy, these songs are way too well crafted to only live in a visual medium.

I know I basically just wrote an entire formal review lol but this man continues to blow me away with everything he does. I really believe looking back on his career decades from now he's going to be looked at as an extremely important figure in comedy, and if his work continues with this kind of evolution, maybe even modern day philosophy like Carlin is.

Naw, I loved it too. The reaction video bit was incredible, as was the whole thing, really.

    Assume It's A Bit

I only just turned 21 last year, but for some reason Bo's "turning 30" monologue and song really got me. That whole special is a damn masterpiece, but that one in particular stuck with me

I went into Bo's special with incredibly high expectations and he completely blew them all away. Truly a masterpiece of a special. Fuck. That hit me

I still think what. "spoke" to me more, but just the technical aspect of Inside is such an achievement. It's truly incredible what he did here, especially if he in fact did it all alone in his home.
