The way she talked about it made it seem like it had been a decision from a while ago

 

Yeah I definitely don’t think it’s right to make any judgments or anything like that about this situation based on we know at present. We don’t know what John and Anna Marie’s relationship was like, we don’t know how he’s been affected emotionally by his relapse and the rehab process, we don’t know anything really.

I went to high school with Anna Marie (she’s a year younger but I never spoke to her but saw her a bunch of times at Hot Rod Circuit shows) but weird seeing her in the news plus sad it’s because of these circumstances.

 

One thing I will say is that I wonder what’s going to happen with all the projects Mulaney had a hand in, like “Big Mouth,” “Spider-Verse 2” and “Sack Lunch Bunch.” I hope he doesn’t inundate himself by jumping back into it and takes his time with recovery. Though, maybe like taking that “Seth Meyers” job, it gave him some structure.

 

Out of those only Sack Lunch really requires a lot of work from him I think, the others are just VO work that he could probably do from home. If anything that easier work might be good for him. I'm no actor though lol

Plus he obviously feels okay enough to do shows and test new material. He's definitely been weirding me out the past year or so but I think it's just because he's kind of become so far from what his previous public persona was; we're not used to seeing the dirty parts of his personal life like we are with a lot of other comedians. All I want is for him to do what he needs to recover

 

I think that's why most people are concerned, he's doing the exact things people are told not to so when recovering. Maybe his treatment offered something different, but new relationships, especially after a divorce and going head first into work are usually not what they recommend.

 

Can we just talk about Kat Dennings and Andrew WK being engaged instead? #party
