Has this world stopped asking what it's thinking?

She made a sarcastic joke about liking Hillary Clinton for having killed people (I'm assuming that's a Benghazi reference). she began getting trolled with death threats and even more meninists harassing her than usual so she publicly proclaimed she is no longer checking her Twitter because it was too stressful. Someone is running it and tweeting for her but she is stepping away.

I don't follow her, but apparently she's been one of the big anti-"Bernie Bro" people on there of late and a really ardent Clinton supporter. She seems to have leant into it and made shock value jokes about how it's good that Clinton is so hawkish and she got a big backlash, from left Twitter people as much as anyone.

I agree with most of what she says but she can definitely be kind of unbearable on Twitter sometimes. I never really said that in here because I thought I would get backlash for it

Yeah I'm not a fan of her exceptionally dramatic reactions. Especially when the joke is as lame as this latest one.

She does have to put up with a lot of bullshit from MRA losers but Twitter has filters specifically for that kind of stuff. Especially if you're verified like she is.

I'm not that familiar with her on Twitter, but I'm not sure what she was trying to get at by saying those things in that context I guess. Maybe it wasn't her intent but it comes off as lashing out needlessly.

Twitter makes it SO easy to ignore people too.

It's funny that Scott of all people got flamed for "sexist remarks". That's truly grasping at straws.

I mean, Scott's joke and reaction to getting called out weren't great. But writing a Buzzfeed article about that?

There are so many more influential people making comments that are actually sexist for this to be considered a big deal.

Fucking Christ. Scott was making a joke. I can't take this bullshit anymore where any joke made gets someone in trouble. Fuck off.

If a comedian can't make a joke anymore then I don't even know. Obviously there are exception and somethings can cross the line but if you know Scott he's clearly joking. Probably 80% of the time he's in character.

Yeah I couldn't think of a more recent example, maybe one of Patton's tweets that's gotten flack

Not exactly sure what my point was of bringing it up, just that comedy is subjective and often borderline offensive

I wonder why Patton flipped out on that clock-kid like twice a week.

I haven't listened to Who Charted for a while, is it still the weird format where the guest is only on the show for a short segment?

and is Howard still being obsessive about some fictional cause like Ocean Vs Space? Because as funny as he is, the constant harping on subjects like that becomes insufferable

No, it's pretty much back to normal, but they do Twooch right after in the same episode. I know exactly what you mean with the format and Howard, but it's gotten through that rough patch and is really enjoyable again.

Also, Howard is going to be on NNF next week and I have a feeling that dynamic will be hilarious.
