Hell yeah

 

This looks fun. For anyone unaware, Nish is an excellent UK stand up. Does really great satire and political comedy.

 

He’s also really funny on whatever season of Taskmaster he was on

my wife and i have been watching every season of this show. consistently hilarious.

 

Just started the newest season of Taskmaster and it's great.

 

What is taskmaster

 

British game show that uses the same contestants for a full season, all comedians, its kind of like a bizarre sitcom. All of the first 8 seasons are free on youtube and they're playing season 11 right now. Its great and really addicting.

I've probably posted it here before but this video is a great introduction and one of their best moments.

 

"I don't care where the ball goes" and "Please don't take it away from me" get me every time. One of the best tasks for sure.

End of an era

 

Conan was the biggest thing in the world to me when I was growing up. Sad to see it go but can’t imagine sitting down and watching any late night show these days

 

Still such bullshit how NBC fucked him over. I’m glad that he’s got a ton of shows in the works so it’s not really goodbye.

I loved Conan in high school and college. I haven’t watched him much the last few years but he was a huge influence on me.

 

I think getting ditched by NBC was a blessing in disguise; TBS gave him a lot of freedom with his show there, he has an insanely successful podcast going right now, and now he's going to have an even bigger budget HBO Max show, and most likely more creative control to do whatever he wants. Legend

 

Yeah I love Conan but he was not what NBC wanted. It’s still fuck NBC though.

 

For sure. Once his show went to a half hour, I was out. I enjoy his podcast and one-off stuff he does. His Late Night run will always that of great legend.

I feel like he was the last talk show host to balance being weird with the regular duties a network host has to do. Now it’s way more of a Fallon-esque pandering.

 

Intro segment of the latest Conan podcast had me crying; somehow it touches on Einstein, the General Theory of Relativity, and Conan unwillingly being in a fisting video

 

Here's him making the announcement. He almost makes it sounds like he's basically just gonna keep doing what he's been doing but with the budget and freedom that HBO will give him, and weekly instead of daily. Super excited to see what he does

 

i’ll watch more of his hbo episodes in a month than i did the entire tbs run
