Cool. I'll just listened to episode 0 of One Hit Wonder. I like the premise. Will definitely give it a shot.

 

It's definitely more of a blend of information and humor than any of my other ideas, but that being said, both of us laughed a fuck ton during the first episode and I also don't remember any other podcast taping feeling so natural. I'm very happy with the end result and excited to build it/commit.

 

Anybody watching Roast Battle? It's pretty douchey, but it has Chris Cubas, Mark Normand, and Mike Lawrence so I'm giving it a shot.

 

Jesus, the Rannazzisi battle was the most awkward train wreck I've ever seen.

 

Yeah Roast Battle is really strange, I feel like it would work better if we knew more about the people

I don't know what thread to use for this, but Adult Swim is airing a show called World Peace by a comedy group MillionDollarExtreme on august the 5th. Now nothing special about that, new shows come and go all the time.

BUT,
MDE member Sam Hyde is openly racist (pro trump) and a lot of their youtube material has white supremacist undertones. Also he's a meme on 4chan and his name comes up every time a violent tragedy happens (trolls are trying to be funny by tweeting that he's behind whatever horrible thing happened). Hyde has become a "alt-right" icon.

Now the show will air on 5th of August.
Adult Swim is now openly supporting racists.

We need to get the message out there and we need to boycott Adult Swim if they don't pull the show.

Meh. That's their schtick. It's nothing but trolling. I'm not defending them because they're obviously in no way clever or groundbreaking. A lot of it is tasteless and vile but that's exactly what they're going for. Getting worked up about it is falling for the troll of it all.

If anything we should complain to Adult Swim about showcasing shitty content.

I was super excited to watch the new David Cross last night and then I realized it's not out for another week.

Finally saw some of Big Jay's special instead and it was really funny.

 

Just watched a local guy "win" on @midnight from an episode a couple weeks ago, and gosh darnit it was neat as heck

 

Roast Battle needs to work out some kinks if they come back for another year but overall I really enjoyed it. Definitely don't agree with Earl Skakel beating Jimmy Carr though, and I didn't laugh at The Wave a single time but I understand it's been a part of the show since its conception

Would definitely watch another tournament

Yeah that felt like a wrong decision. I laughed so hard at Mike Lawrence's two rounds so far tho.

 

Tried to watch Roast Battle but couldn't make it through the first episode. WAAAAY too much filler and douchey-ness for me.

 

The new with special quest with Nick and Mitch was fucking hysterical.
