I feel so weird listening to things like Kill Tony because of the platforms they give some people. Most of the Legion of Skanks are awful people. Redban fucking sucks. Tony tows the line in a really strange way. I wish I could support the band and the local comics without all of the baggage of a lot of the guests. Give me the same format with Erik Griffin, Doug Benson, Natasha, and Moshe every week with the same band and regulars.

 

Hasn't Doug platformed some shitty folks long after they proved problematic? He had TJ Miller on his show last year

 

yea TJ was always a mess but he stopped coming on around the time he got fired from Silicon Valley. Rogan has been on the past but before JRE took off in popularity. He’s had Joey Diaz on too I remember. I think once it’s out there that certain comics are shitty he stops inviting them. Though he still uses the Hard & Phirm theme song on every show

 

Yeah I feel there’s no way DB doesn’t know about the things Diaz, Ross, and others have done. but he always seems to stop inviting guests that people have publicly shown are shitty people. I don’t know if that’s good or bad, since he only stops letting people come on when it’s bad for his image

Totally. I haven’t listened to DLM in months and I don’t plan to start again now

The end of the Leonard Maltin game was the real death of DLM. As a pretty big fan of his for years, Doug has become a hack.

 

I've always listened to DLM dependent on guests... like most podcasts. That stay at home ones are pretty bad though. The Apatow one he was just like, okay shows over. Apatow did spend half the episode talking about nothing though. I enjoy his movies but cannot stand to listen to him talk about himself.

 

Oh shit I must've totally missed the Jeff Ross allegations. Reading through the IWas15HeWas33 posts now, this is disgusting.

 

Haven't listened since working from home but I need to check in those guys. They're definitely a bunch of dorks especially when that stuff comes up like when Jimmy got mad at a guy for smoking a joint on the street.

 

Off the top of my head he has had tj miller, Chris Hardwick, the kong skull island island director, Morgan spurlock, Brad Williams and all the other shitty bro guys
