also, just, any wealthy comedian who gets up on stage, during their recorded comedy special that some streaming service is paying them a ton of money for, and cries about how they can't say whatever they want in comedy anymore is automatically an idiot imo

I was reading the Joe Rogan reddit this morning to see what his fans were saying about it, and they generally seemed to disagree with Rogan. It made me feel better but I know a lot of people are listening to him and trust everything he says. Scary shit

I had a guy I know tell me antifa was bad because Joe Rogan had a journalist on his podcast who was assaulted by antifa while reporting on a protest.

I knew that sounded like bullshit so I googled it and found out he was talking about this guy:

How a Right-Wing Troll Managed to Manipulate the Mainstream Media

Just as an idea of who Rogan is comfortable giving a platform to, and how willing Rogan is to showcase alt-right lies on his show.

I don't think listening to the JRE instantly makes you an asshole. I listen to him a lot, mainly when he has nutritionists and biohacking experts like Rhonda Patrick and Ben Greenfield come on. Also I enjoy UFC so I like his interviews with fighters.

I definitely have never listened when he has garbage like Candace Owens or Jordan Petersen on, though.

EDIT: Oh and of course I had to watch when Tom Delonge was on.

I mean, do you think it’s ok to support a person who gives people like that platforms? I know your 1 listen a month or whatever isn’t much, but it’s something to think about

I mean, listen to whoever you want I just think Rogan is a monumental moron at best and actively harmful at worst, so

Hey man don't be hating! I've had bad autoimmune and nerve disorders most of my life and the tips and supplements these guys suggest have done way more for me than any medication I've been prescribed.

I matched with someone on Bumble and it seemed like we had a lot in common, we exchanged a few messages, podcasts came up, she mentioned loving his show and I was just like...we will not get along.

Finally got around to watching Middleditch and Schwartz, and I fucking want more. I hope they make this a series, all three episodes were absolutely hilarious

Schwartz's (I think it was him?) callback with the identity of the ghost in the wedding one was absolutely genius

    I was right. Prestigious

obviously the dude telling the story in the clip in Emily Heller’s tweet is disgusting, but something about watching JR laugh at his story makes me more mad.

  24. It's Joey Diaz. He's still a very popular comedian, touring regularly. He's supposed to be here in SLC in September. Yuck...

Please don't take this as a defense of Joey Diaz in the slightest. What was said was disgusting and should NEVER be tolerated and he deserves to be blackballed from the industry, if not worse. Sadly, that's kind of the guy's whole schtick. He tells horrible stories of his past. Unfortunately this is not the worst thing he's discussed. He acts apologetic and claims to "recognize" that these were actions of a bad person, but he still describes these dispicable acts and tries to diguise it as "comedy" and people like Rogan and his fans will laugh at it. It's abysmal. Rather than truly "learning" from his mistakes and telling these stories as a means of condemning these action to potentially stop more of this shit from happening going forward, he glorifies it and makes a joke out of it. People want to act like this was a decade ago, and people can change, but if anything, this shows that he hasn't learned anything from his past, and he's still a piece of shit, not to mention Rogan for giving him more of a platform and encouraging it.
