Holy shit. This was great.

 

I posted this before listening, but I just listened to the whole set and he kills. One of the best comedy albums I've heard in a while. Definitely recommend this if you have an hour to kill.

 

What’s the deal with Bonanas for Bonanza? I thought it was weekly but only one episode has come out so far, and that was a couple weeks ago?

I watched the pilot. It was pretty good. Definitely plan on watching the rest this week. Rory is the best.

Edit: just watched the 2nd episode. It was hilarious.

Edit 2: just started ep 3 and saw that it was written by Sean Clements. So if Rory wasn't enough reason to check this show out, here's another reason. And if you TFO fans weren't already aware, the show is centered around basketball.

 

I'm through 5 episodes of it. It's up and down. I enjoy it and it has some really funny moments but I feel like something isn't quite clicking for me.

I tried watching the new Seinfeld special and made it about 20 minutes without laughing once and turned it off.

 

His “nice” killed me

 

I mean his standup wasn't funny on the show either and that was 30 years and $90 million ago haha

 

The Seinfeld special is decent. It's Seinfeld doing Seinfeld - mundane observations and how ridiculous they are mixed with clever wordplay (which is my favorite of his bits).

 

I saw him live probably 13-14 years ago and enjoyed it but what I saw of this new special was him just coasting.

 

his new special doesn't compare to his older stuff, but it's not terrible other than he tries so hard to be relateable to the everyman despite being worth a gazillion dollars.

Like, he has a whole bit about how life sucks... even for him... maybe a little bit less for him, but it still sucks.
