I'm a huge fan of British panel shows and European comedy. Frankie Boyle was one of my first that I really clicked with. His dark humor always made me laugh. This one gets me pretty good.

 

lol season 11 of On Cinema is going to be nuts.

also glad Punch Up The Jam introduced me to Cool Playlist because I love the idea of that podcast

 

Rob Reiner naming the monopoly board properties in order was one of the most stupidly impressive things I’ve heard on a podcast (Never Not Funny)

 

I was sick for days a few weeks ago and all I did was catch up on Big Fat Quiz and all the other quiz shows. Still not enough Ayoade in my life.

 

Ayoade is an absolute treasure. Him and James Acaster will always make me laugh.

 

I’ve only seen Acaster’s first stand up and it was incredibly unique and clever.

His bit about breaking a conga line in the middle only makes a rival conga line, I think about randomly and I always laugh.

I feel like Ayoade is ridiculously underrated though. He was Moss in IT Crowd, a brilliant host and guest, and directed 2 of the coolest films ever Feel like he should he bigger

 

Acasters four-part comedy special was incredible. Loved every minute of it.

Ayodade is wonderful as a guest, host, etc. really wish he was bigger than he is, I agree.

 

If no one has seen Acasters whole thing about being trolled by a kid with cabbages for months of his life, you really need to.

If no one has read Acaster's book (James Acaster's Classic Scrapes), they should. Funniest book I've ever read.

Also for fans of Ayodade, check out his show Travel Man. I've only seen a few episodes, but really great if you like him. He and a guest go on a weekend break together to a cultural city. It's as wonderful as it sounds.

 

Legitimately one of the funniest things.

 

Ayaode is amazing. I really wish UK panel shows were a thing over here. People like PFT and Jimmy Pardo would be so good on them. Really just the whole podcast scene in general.

 

Richard throwing a fit out of nowhere always gets me.

There was also the bit where he talked about having problems with his shower and the show got derailed because everyone was giving him advice instead of answering the questions.

Want this so badly.

When he tells rob Beckett your hairs still wet from the fuckin womb slays me every time.

“Richard, get a plumber.

“I want a reliable one.”

That exchange always cracks me up.

 

If you're a fan of Greg Davies and somehow haven't seen this clip you really need to. Ryan Gosling's reaction is hysterical.

 

Greg Davies is always fantastic on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.

 

I think my two favorite panel shows are Cats Does Countdown (ironically don't much care for the normal 8 out of 10) and Would I Lie To You? I used to really like Mock The Week, but ever since Russel, Andy and especially Frankie left it hasn't been as good.
