Has anyone watched Netflix's The Comedy Lineup yet? Eight good 15 minute sets from comics I had never heard of before. The first comic is a friend of 2 Broke Girls apparently, but other than that I think its mostly up and comers.

All eight sets have laughs in them, but what I really appreciate is how varied the comics are. Taylor Tomlinson has probably the most "classic" stand up set, but it is SUPER polished and I was laughing consistently throughout. You're gonna want to watch Ian Karmel's set all the way until the credits for sure.

I also really appreciate the DOP and Director on this project - this might be the the BEST camera work and editing of a standup set that I've ever seen. Some jokes are actually improved with a smart cut or quick zoom.

Yet another positive - it might just be the quick hits of the sets, but it seemed like a real audience in the room and not just a big theater ready to see their favorite comic and laugh at everything they throw out. Several comics have jokes that fall flat in the room and you get to see them attempt to recover and make a quick quip - stuff that is usually missed in televised specials.

Anyway...go watch. Well worth it!

 

The Punch Up The Jam on Teenage Dirtbag is so good

 

Yes.

 

Watching the new season of comedians in cars blah blah blah and zach galifianakis is still the best.

 

The former is me and my friends and it’s kind of annoying.

 

Need to bump this.

Goodness, reminded me a lot of Tig’s Live in terms of how devastated and emotional I was by the end of it. What a show.

 

I hope every suggested future episode on the Teenage Dirtbag episode of Punch Up The Jam happens (Stacy's Mom, Hey There Delilah, Sk8er Boi)
Full disclosure Sk8er Boi and Two Princes are the two episodes I've suggested they do

 

I tried finding a proper clip from the ep of Sarah Silverman Program where we learn Two Princes is the only song Brian Posen listens to

Hahaha I love Brian Posehn. I used to listen to one of his albums on repeat because it was just so ridiculous.

Did anyone watch the cartoon Mission Hill? He was pretty funny in that.

 

I loved Mission Hill! And Brian Posehn is great, renting The Comedians Of Comedy as a teen really changed my life

 

I wish Mission Hill kept going. And I need to check out The Comedians of Comedy.

 

I bet it still holds up, my first introductions to Maria and Zach!

 

I don't know if anyone liked WKUK, but they recently did a few shows together in PA or something so I looked up what else they've been up to and uhhh
