Pretty sure Kumail was the only one on the show who actually tweeted out that he’ll miss T.J. when he announced he was leaving

if Jeselnik could ditch the lower-hanging fruit, like the baby jokes, he'd be one of my favorite comedians. he has an all-time comedy voice and can successfully misdirect me all over the place over the course of an hour. excited for his new special, bummed he's not filming it sooner.

Never heard of Cheap Seats before but the list of people involved has me intrigued even though I am not a sports fan.

  8. TJ Miller gave a candid talk about 'Silicon Valley' exit

Most of it comes from this article, and TJ gives Thomas kind of a backhanded compliment in there, so maybe they were just fueding over his exit. Not really sure.

It is interesting that most of Erlich’s storylines the past two seasons have kept him away from Richard

back when they were just voices on a podcast to me, i got TJ and Tommy Middle D confused all the time because i didn't have a face to put to the name. now i'm much more familiar with them and they're opposites/Middleditch is a joy.

no special coming out in the next couple of weeks matters compared to Todd Barry's, i cannot fucking wait

Can't wait for this thread to fill with idiots defending some ignorant bullshit he's inevitably going to say.

    edit:

Obviously I mean Chappelle, not Todd Barry haha

I'm still bummed I missed Todd Barry's crowd work show a few weeks back. I've seen him do crowd work once before, and stand up numerous times, but he never disappoints me.

i have seen almost zero good comedians because i live in "eh it's 4 hours from NYC close enough they don't need anything", also known as Albany, NY

I haven't been to a comedy show in a really long time, and I went through a year or two period where I would just see everyone that came through. I think the most recent one I saw was Louis CK weirdly enough

I was lucky to go to a big university where there’d be a good variety of road comics that would do shows in a small venue on campus or bigger names perform in our theater. I got to see Mike Birbiglia perform in a dining hall. I also go to see Lewis Black and Dave Attell co-headline, which is probably my favorite show ever. My senior year I wrote for the entertainment section of my school’s paper and got to review Bob Saget’s performance. I didn’t get to interview him but had great seats. The fun was already knowing his raunchy humor and getting to interview students afterwards for their reaction as many of them didn’t expect that from the TV dad they grew up on. But I wish I went to school during this latest comedy podcast boom as it introduced me to so many funny people.

I feel like comedy shows in northeast Ohio are not publicized well at all. I only hear about the huge names coming i.e. Seinfeld, Rock, Gaffigan, etc. we have a great comedy club downtown (Hilarities) and theaters here and I’m always surprised to see great comics coming but with zero publicity so I only know about it unless I manually look.

We've gotten some good comedians on Long Island and I'm close enough to NYC that I've gotten to see a bunch there too

    also yay

I'm fairly lucky to have seen most of my favorites live. Emo Philips, James Adomian, PFT (who I did see with CBB) and Steven Wright are the only remaining ones on my bucket list that I can think of.

I'm lucky enough to live very close to NYC so I can see most of who I want. I've never been to a live podcast though, definitely want to change that once some of my favorites tour again (really need to go to a CBB live show).
