Is Cashing In still a thing? Was really into that show for the first couple years

 

if TJ listens to a shred of advice from his team we won't be hearing him on any pod of any kind for a long time, i'd wager

 

he doesn't strike me as the type of person to listen to anyones advice or criticisms

 

They still occasionally release episodes. I had a couple backlogged but I don’t think I’ll be able to listen now.

I very strongly dislike Jeselnik and the notion that offensive comics have to make jokes as soon as a risky story breaks.


But dammit that one made me laugh

I don’t like Jeselnik either but holy fuck that tweet killed me

 

Jeselnik is good at what he does, which is a twist on bad taste.

 

He’s a legend

 

His last special was very good

 

He's always the butt of his jokes so they're good, most people who do what he does make fun of other people so they're bad

 

It's the archived episodes they're taking out from behind a paywall for a while, I believe.

 

Ever since Comedy Central canceled his show I’ve been out of the loop for AJ but god damn, just reading that in his voice killed me.

It's super upsetting that other comedians aren't really saying anything about it.

 

Jeselnik is the best, and by all accounts he's a really great guy in real life too. Never seen any comedians say anything but positive things about him

 

It's definitely frustrating -- I've only really seen Jeselnik and Heidecker joke about it on Twitter -- but it's also been less than a week. Similar to Louie, I'm willing to give the people close to him the benefit of the doubt (for now) and time to process/address it, although realistically, I'm not exactly sure who I would expect to address it in the first place. Maybe I just wasn't a big fan/didn't pay attention, but he doesn't seem to have nearly as many close collaborators as Louie. Gorburger Show was cancelled and all of his current projects are in post besides How to Train Your Dragon. I'm not even sure who of the Silicon Valley crew is still close to him considering how messy his exit was.

Not saying other comedians shouldn't be addressing it, really just not sure what to expect at this point.

 

Yeah I've been periodically checking Kumail's Twitter since the news broke. This might just be me projecting but I kind of got the impression he was never that crazy about TJ though

 

Can't speak for Kumail, but Middleditch definitely had bad blood with him.

 

is the bad blood you speak of just from TJ leaving the show or something else? I remember seeing a few interviews of Thomas and TJ together and they seemed to be friends
