I remember his first album, the title had something to do with dogs, being really bad. It was clearly an album where he was trying to find his voice, but wasn’t quite there. I think he stopped selling it once he got a bigger profile, and with good reason.

Anyone watch the new Patton show "Happy"?

 

Someone mentioned I, Robot on I think this week's Spont and I was so bummed he didn't run with it or mention this lol

 

I know this has mentioned previously, but I think I’m about to jump off the “Raised by TV” boat. I know the common issue with it has been the lack of focus, which hadn’t really bothered me until this weeks TGIF episode.

How are you going to do an episode on TGIF and never even mention Boy Meets World in passing? They spent so much time just talking snacks and random sex stuff, the episode felt pointless.

In the grand scheme of life, I guess it doesn’t matter but I was looking forward a little nostalgia with two of my favorite comedians.

 

this problem has heavily permeated all of Gabrus' work, and he's spread himself thin over so many pods it is becoming unbearable

 

I think I'm still in the 'Gabrus is funny' club

 

i still think he is funny too, but i've just been hearing a lot more of him lately and he leans on the sex stuff a bit much for my taste. i think he is at his best when he is a moving part on someone else's show and there's a bit of traffic control.

 

Gabrus on HH or as Gino is the best, but yea I can't stand H&M

 

Just saw Gabrus live with the Doughboys, he is so effortlessly hilarious. Perfect at landing insults and starting really funny bits, but his chaos works best the more order is around him.

 

I definitely find Gabriel funny. Gino is maybe my favorite character on CBB. He’s so quick with stuff and it seems effortless.

This particular episode the sexual stuff seemed slightly more serious though. It was played off as a joke, but it was a story about his dad when he was younger. In the episode it doesn’t feel super serious, but it felt awkwardly placed in an episode about TGIF.

 

Hadn't heard of Romesh Ranganathan before, but really liked him on today's NNF, thought he really fit in and had some quality Elliott bashes. I might try to check out his show at the Greek just to see what a shit show it'll be.

 

Saw sampler platter himself, Shane Torres, last night. He was working out new material but it was all really funny. Dude is interesting on stage... could NOT stop touching the wall/curtain the ENTIRE set.
