I'm younger than Gabrus and Lapkus by ~8-10 years so I hope I can still enjoy this podcast about TV shows they liked as kids?

First ep of Raised by TV was good - a little aimless and similar to Lauren's High and Mighty episode but still super entertaining, how could it not be with these two. I'm really looking forward to them getting into specific topics, I'm 5-7ish years younger than them but still have nostalgia for 90% of what they talk about. Very glad to have this to add to my weekly list.

 

I'm only 10 minutes into Raised By TV, but the Supermarket Sweep mention has me 100000% in.

This is just like nostalgia the podcast, which would normally annoy me but Gabrus and Lapkus are so good they can talk about anything

Jess McKenna as Mario and Zach Reino as Cappy on Hard Nation today. Going to have to listen to that.

Looking forward to giving Raised By TV a listen. I'm the same age of Lapkus so I'm guessing it'll hit all the right notes for me.

 

I'm also Lapkus' age so it's a total sweet spot of entertainment that overlaps.

I was really, really hoping they'd go into the David The Gnome theme song, because it's truly one of the greatest of all-time.

 

Goddamn I loved David The Gnome. I remember spending my teens trying to convince people the show existed since I had forgotten the name and then randomly found it again on some Spanish TV channel.

I don’t know when I’ll get a chance to listen but I am very excited

 

Super late to this, but Chelsea Peretti's "Rain's Comin' In" is hilarious and a great Thanksgiving time listen.

 

Raised By T.V. is just a delight, I could listen to the two of them talk about 90s television forever.

 

Looks like the Louis CK flood gates are about to come crashing down.

About time.
