Podcast: The Ride was pleasant enough during the first half of the first ET ep, but the last 45 minutes or so have been really great, starting with grouchy ET roasting people

Oh yeah, this is right up my alley. Enjoyed the Paul Rust episode and immediately listened to another one about structures on the moon with Trevor Moore and Sam Brown.

 

I enjoy it but it gets very frustrating pretty often. Willie often gets too fucked up and just abandons the topic to talk about how we should all just love each other.

 

Is Willie the skeptic or the believer? I could see whomever is the believer getting kind of agitating, even though he's the one providing most of the theories. Still, I've only listened to two episodes so far haha. Really enjoyed both of them.

 

He's the believer. The show is basically pitched as a bar stool conversation, so if you're okay going into each episode knowing it's a bunch of drunk people struggling to have a coherent discussion on spooky shit, then it's fun. If it's a topic you're actually really into and already sort of know about, then get mad about how wrong they have it

Oh yeah, I've spent the last year or so cherrypicking old episodes I'm interested in and generally keep up with their new episodes depending on the topic. I actually just missed out on seeing them in Pittsburgh, was immensely bummed.

 

I just subscribed to the Lapkus/Gabriel joint Raised By TV. First episode drops Thursday. Very excited.
