The Louis stuff is stacking too high. Any innocent man would say, "No, I did not jerk off in front of captive female peers". Same standard we hold Trump to when the dumb motherfucker can't just say "No, I don't love nazis". To dodge around is to suggest, at best, that something took place and he has discrepancies with the specifics. There's really nothing watered down or otherwise that could have taken place in the realm of what's rumored that falls anywhere other than repulsive. I am going to be very curious about how his press tour for this film goes. If nothing more concrete comes out then it likely never will.

 

It REALLY sucks. I love Louie and want to give him the "innocent until proven guilty" benefit of the doubt, but there's just too many unanswered allegations.

I can appreciate the "let's not air this out in the press" stance, but at least address it somewhere/somehow. There's literally zero reason that Tig (or anyone else for that matter) would make such blatant allegations without reason. They were friends a couple years ago and now she says "we'll never talk again" and he just shrugs it off... somethings WAY off.

I listened to the Off Book episode with Erin Whitehead. I honestly can't believe how talented these folks are. It really is amazing that they're able to improvise a musical and actually make it really good. It was the best episode I've heard yet.

 

I'm afraid I'm going to get used to the similar recurring elements in Off Book, like how Jess just has like three voices or the standard silly out of place song Zach usually forces through a sharp turn, but they've been so delightful so far I might just like those things more and more.

But that was hard to do because they've all been good so far

 

You put this much better than I could. I still would give it best new pod of the year and I adore it, but I think it would behoove the longevity of the series to either go with a "season" format ala Teacher's Lounge or just do one biweekly/monthly. Has yet to stop being a total delight yet, though

 

It's still early, I think they can pull off weekly without getting too stuck in a routine. And even if they did have a lot of repeating elements, there's usually a totally off the wall thing they try almost every ep. Also I still want more and hope it never gets old and predictable.

 

On the other hand every Jess voice is adorable

 

My concern is how many guests they can line up that can hang. Not that there isn't a sea of great improv talent out there but musical improv is a whole different beast. I hope they have some actual musicians as guests, like i4h except having the musician score the scenes

 

I feel like Jess could singlehandedly voice a Rugrats reboot or something lol

Having guests that can't hang can still lead to great episodes, the eventual Doughboys ep will be a classic guaranteed.
