What does everyone use for podcasts on iOS? And does it allow for Stitcher Premium RSS feeds? What the fuck is an RSS feed? Please send help.

 

Similarly related question, but re: Android....

I finally got a new phone and rather than having to manually download everything, I'm using a podcast app.

I know Downcast was recommended as "the" podcast app, but I can't see to find an Android version.

Any other suggestions? I'm currently using CastBox, which seems okay, but I can't figure out how to pull in my Patreon and Stitcher premium shows.

 

For Android, Pocketcasts seems to be the undisputed king, at least according to /r/earwolf

 

I use the Apple Podcast app. There's an unofficial RSS feed thing that you can use to put stitcher shows into the Apple Podcast app but the other day mine bugged out and started asking me non-stop for my password so I deleted them all. I need to re-add them but I don't feel like it right now.

I just noticed Stitcher is advertising With Special Guest as a Stitcher Premium exclusive... I wonder why

 

I got that too, but I'm still able to go to any podcast feed and download shit without signing in. I'm currently only using stitcher for the Never Not Funny archive so it's not a problem...but what a shit show that service seems to be.
