Has this world stopped asking what it's thinking?

Melissa Villasenor is a pure delight on You Made It Weird. I had no idea she was so good at impressions.

I love that movie so much that I can't imagine not being disappointed with the show, but Scheer is a good start

What comedians would you say are your favorite of all time? I'd have to go with Louie, Maron, Mike Birbiglia, Chris Rock and Larry David.

I don't really consider Larry David to be a "comedian" but he's definitely one of my favorite funny people ever.

    As far as comics go...
    Mitch Hedberg
    Bill Hicks
    Bo Burnham
    Rory Scovel

that's just a quick short list

Ross Noble is one of my favourites to see live. He is from Newcastle (UK) but lives in Australia now. Not sure if he has ever toured the states. 75% of the guys set is great crowd interaction or about the area he is in (not in a try to put people down way), so always get a fairly unique set and tends to do 2/2.5 hour sets that leave me crying.

Todd Barry, Steven Wright and Emo Philips are some other all time favorites.

Patton and Louie but I don't love them like I used to

    Chris Rock
    George Carlin
    Mitch Hedberg
    Mike Birbiglia
    Jim Gaffigan
    John Mulaney
    Hannibal Buress

I honestly don't want that much standup, any comedians I've gravitated towards was based on podcast appearances

I'm the same. If I had to pick favorites based solely on stand up material, it'd probably be between Kyle Kinane and Rory Scovel

I absolutely love Todd Barry. Especially the crowd work tour. I was lucky enough to meet him and he was exactly how you'd expect him to be.

Yeah, I wasn't really sure if I should include Larry David in the list...but since he's done some stand up before I figured why not. I really need to watch that new season of Curb! I just discovered Rory Scovel the other day. He's pretty decent. What would you recommend by him?

In terms of specials, Aziz's first and Mulaney's New In Town are two favorites that come to mind

Yes@ Hannibal Buress. I like him a lot in Broad City too. I like Carlin a lot but more for his philosophies on life etc. I don't always think he's "haha" funny. He's the kind of guy I'd want as a neighbor to hang out and smoke weed with. :)

Who do you especially like that you heard on podcasts?

It's hard to say. I feel like I should go with some legends but most don't stick with me as much.

    I have to go with
    Tig Notaro
    Rory Scovel
    Maria Bamford
    Bo Burnham
    and Kyle Kinane

    Honorable mentions are probably
    Nick Thune
    Paul F. Thompkins

Even though Paul doesn't really do standup much anymore he has made me laugh probably more than any other person on earth and I have fond memories of watching his CC specials in high school.

In terms of stand ups as oppose those in sketch and improve, Kyle Kinane, Pete Holmes, Matt Braunger, Carmen Esposito, Rhea Butler, Todd Glass. Also I've always like Maron as an interviewer but couldn't get into his standup.

I'd have to put it in terms of favorite specials I've seen, which is complicated because I'd put Hannibal up there based on a special of his I saw live that was heavily edited when it was later released, cutting a bunch of the strongest material.
