I don't think Ken Reid is funny on DLM. He seems nice but most of the jokes fall flat.

 

Really want that shirt, but the neck looks huge and the length looks like it would be a crop top on me.

 

Comedy Bang Bang was pretty hilarious today.

 

DLM has been falling flat for a while now.

Why did he stop with the Leonard Maltin game?

 

The Leonard Maltin app is dead

 

Was that "app" really an app? I always thought Doug put these games together using Maltin's reviews and IMDB.

Either way, most of the games that he does now just really aren't too funny or interesting.

 

Julie Klausner is so good. Can't wait for Jurassic Parks and Rec

I still have the app on my phone but there was a conflict with the publisher and it hasn't been updated in years. The last "new" review was for Monuments Men

 

So in other words Doug has been playing the game since the app "died."

The other games don't require that much knowledge in film, maybe the tagline game but nothing else.

 

It's really only about the guests now, there have been some great eps recently but a lot of boring ones. The LMG really could carry any group, that game is magic

 

He may have just gotten tired of it but played a few times when all the guests were experienced players. And maybe he wanted simpler games since explaining the LMG became a hassle.

 

And the fact a lot of his guests are only there to be "funny" instead of actually listen.

 

Alex and Deb's and whoever's IMDB game is decent, but the rest are lame.

I still listen to every episode, but it's become less of a game show and more of a vehicle for Doug to do really dumb bits (donut throwing, silence after saying dlm.com, repeating the same jokes over and over ie my wiiife)

 

if you're trying to convince someone to quit smoking pot, have them listen to an early DLM and then a recent DLM

 

Yeah I can't do DLM anymore. It needs a lineup like Hamm-Kumail-Demi to even be kind of good. I was even excited to listen to one with I think Scheer and Corddry and it was bad.

 

I haven't listened in years but never liked the games. Always preferred when the guests were just talking about movies.

 

It's Tuesday, does Netflix have a new stand-up today? Or was that just for the month of January?

 

I think just January, but I'm not 100%
